About CornerBit
CornerBit was created with a simple belief: small independent garages deserve modern tools that are easy to use, affordable, and built around real workshop life.

Across the UK and Europe, many small businesses lose time, money, and even competitiveness simply because they don't have practical tools to manage their day-to-day work. In today's workshop environment, it's no longer a fair comparison: one mechanic uses a hand wrench, another uses an impact gun" — the same gap exists in business management. But what can a small garage do when the “impact gun” of software costs a third of their monthly profit and requires a computer science degree to operate?
Our Story
CornerBit was founded by someone who grew up around tools, engines, and electronics — a person who later became a UK Master Technician and a fully qualified Web Developer.

After years spent working inside real garages, it became clear that independent workshops were being left behind by software built for dealerships and large chains. Paper notes were getting lost. Spreadsheets were turning into chaos. Customer history was hard to find. And existing systems were either too expensive or too complicated for a small team — sometimes even for a one-person garage.

CornerBit was created to change that: a practical, human-centred solution built by a founder who has stood under the lift, turned the spanners, spoken to customers, and lived the everyday reality of workshop life.
Why We Exist
We believe that technology should adapt to the mechanic — not the other way around. Software should be simple. Pricing should be fair. And every garage, even with one employee, should have access to tools that help them stay organised and competitive.

CornerBit exists to bring modern, accessible, workshop-friendly tools to the people who need them most.
The Problem We Solve
Independent garages face real challenges:
  • paperwork and notebooks that disappear
  • scattered customer and vehicle information
  • difficulty finding past jobs and history
  • expensive systems designed for dealerships
  • messy spreadsheets
  • limited online visibility
  • no simple way to manage daily work
CornerBit solves these problems with clean, modern tools that keep everything in one place and help garages work smarter, not harder.
Our Mission & Values
Transparency
Clear pricing, honest communication, and no hidden fees. Garages should always know exactly what they're paying for.
Reliability
Tools that work every day, without complexity or frustration. Built with stability and long-term trust in mind.

Innovation
Modern, practical solutions shaped by real workshop needs — not corporate software thinking.
Customer Data Safety
Your data belongs to you.
We protect it with strong security, UK-based hosting, and responsible engineering.

CornerBit is built to meet UK GDPR requirements and follows strict, industry-standard security practices to ensure all customer and vehicle data is handled safely and transparently.
We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), reflecting our commitment to responsible data handling and compliance.

All information is stored on secure, physically located servers within the United Kingdom, keeping your data under full UK jurisdiction.
For vehicle details, we use authorised access to official DVLA data services, ensuring accurate information while respecting all privacy and usage rules.

We apply strong principles of data minimisation, encryption, and access control so garages retain full ownership of their data — and can trust that it's protected every step of the way.
Founder's Message
I've spent most of my life around tools, engines, and the everyday rhythm of workshop life. Over the years, I saw the same pattern repeat itself in small garages across the UK and Europe: talented mechanics doing great work, but losing time, money, and opportunities simply because they didn't have the right tools to stay organised.

CornerBit was created to change that — not with corporate software, but with something practical, human-centred, and genuinely useful. If CornerBit can help even a small workshop save time, stay organised, and compete on equal ground, then the mission is already worth it.

Thank you for being part of this journey. We're building this together — one garage at a time.
